Joanna would say being a parent of a toddler has greatly increased her negotiation skills!  Cassandra, keeps her on her toes!  Joanna has always loved challenges. Those created by an active child or an active real estate market are what keep Joanna excited. Joanna has lived most of her life in Saratoga County -– raised in Charlton, a proud alumni of Burnt-Hills Ballston-Lake, started and ran a fitness studio in Malta, and has worked various jobs in Glenville, Ballston Spa, and Saratoga.  Joanna has enjoyed investing and living in Malta’s Luther Forest for the last 12 years.  The area’s people, businesses, and community events make it an ideal place to live.

After graduating from Bryant University with a BA in Business Administration, Joanna spent 6 years at a Fortune 500 company in Boston managing their customer service and marketing team.  With this opportunity Joanna learned to thrive in a fast paced team environment.  Success demanded an exceptional capacity for understanding customer needs. Joanna and her team were very effective and successful. With her compensation Joanna was able to buy her first property, a condo south of Boston. She turned this into rental property when she returned to Saratoga. Real Estate was her future.

Joanna’s love for real estate started to really grow as the Vice President and Property Manager of a small local real estate holding company.  She spent over ten years gaining experience in pre-foreclosures, auctions and short sales. Real estate investing was challenging and ever changing! Making the deals and helping to develop reasonably priced, stylish rentals was exciting.  Managing and coordinating the property rehabilitations, renovations and staging was her favorite part!  Joanna’s negotiation and communication skills were further fine-tuned with management of the properties and all aspects of tenant screening, lease terms, and tenant issues. Joanna was developing an extensive knowledge of the Capital District’s Real Estate Market and having fun.

Joanna’s main goal is helping her clients have the most stress free experience while buying or selling their home.  By leveraging her extensive background in real estate sales, aided with her attention to detail and digital communication skills, Joanna has helped many clients reach their goals over the last 6 years as a real estate salesperson.  Building customer rapport and really trying to help them find a great home or investment opportunity is Joanna’s strength.

Joanna is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and the Greater Capital Region Association of REALTORS® (GCAR).  Joanna loves giving back to the community and over the years has organized fundraising events benefiting local charities such as: American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, Donate Life, Re-Build Together Saratoga, American Lung Association, March of Dimes, Special Olympics and more!  Joanna loves helping her community and those in it.
